During her college years, she even shared style tips on YouTube, but her true calling was still waiting.
After spending time in the corporate world, Aakansha realized her heart remained unfulfilled; her soul yearned to return to her first love, fashion. Taking a leap of faith, she left her job and started RoopSajja, naming her brand after the beauty and grace she saw in her heritage. With little more than determination and her creative energy, she transformed part of her home into a mini-studio—pouring her heart into every design.
Every detail, from photography to packaging and shipping, was managed by Aakansha herself, reflecting her dedication and unique touch. The brand’s first supporters were close friends and family, but RoopSajja soon captured attention for its heartfelt, handcrafted pieces and inspired designs. Currently, the handcrafted fabric jewelry is created by trusted external artisans and craftsmen, carefully selected to bring RoopSajja’s unique, Pinterest-inspired designs to life. Though production is outsourced today, there is a vision to build an in-house team of skilled fabric artisans in the near future—further enhancing control, creativity, and quality.
This personal approach and family involvement ensure each piece carries genuine care, attention, and the dream of growing a brand that feels like home to everyone who wears it.
Memorable Exhibition Moments
Our journey with exhibitions has been both exciting and enlightening. The very first exhibition we participated in was the Sawan Mela during the Rakhi festival—a time full of celebration and joy. With limited stock and nerves running high, we were overwhelmed by the love and appreciation from visitors. The sales exceeded all expectations and gave RoopSajja its first real taste of success and encouragement.
During the Diwali festival, we took part in a three-day exhibition that brought even more enthusiasm and support. Many visitors expressed how much they loved our designs and encouraged us to open a physical outlet. It was heartwarming to see customers return with friends and family, becoming loyal supporters who look forward to meeting us at every event. While not every exhibition has been a huge success, each one taught us valuable lessons and reinforced our commitment to creating jewelry that resonates with people’s hearts.
